Actually, I always thought I’d finish everything on paper and just adjust a little bit on the computer. But i’m really more comfortable in correcting everything on the computer which, I’m embarrassed to say, makes my hand drawing sloppy.
So, normally I start with an idea like this. Lol. I even want a window with a view of Paris. Then as I’m doing this i’d be so engrossed on the coloring, I’d literally throw that idea out the window.
I usually trace out everything in the drawing first then save these lines, before I color them.
I then select everything and color with paint bucket (K).
I’d add several layers for the shadows and the highlights.
Once I’m done, I’d bring back the lines I saved earlier, then put it on top. That way it did not disappear when coloring some parts.
