Google is probably filled with free things to do in Paris this weekend searches; not to mention, free expositions and free museums. Who would have thought that the famous Musée du Louvre can actually be for free.
For starters, if you are a student, a researcher or any of the other categories mentioned on Louvre’s website (see link below), you could avail of discounts just by presenting a proper ID or proof of enrollment to a school.
And every Friday evenings, starting from 6pm, students, below 26 years old, may access the museum for free. But for the rest of us who do not belong to any of this category, there is still some hope, as every first Saturday of the month, from 6pm onwards, the Louvre is free! And it’s coming this February 2, 2019!
The Musee du Louvre could be accessed by Metro Line 7 or Line 1 Palais-Royal, Musée du Louvre. They also post events on Facebook some groups that go together, if you don’t want to go there by yourself.
