I’ve always wanted to visit Paris’ biggest bridal fair, Le Salon du Mariage which is held annually at Porte de Versailles. But it was only this year that I mustered the drive to visit it. If you’re single, it’s weird and people ask why you’re going to this kind of events. If you’re dating someone and you’re not engaged, a selfie in one of these events is enough to scare your boyfriend. 🙂
One would think that it’s just wedding dresses and flowers but it is surprisingly filled with different categories for a wedding. From wedding planners, to photo booths, to event organizers and so on. What prevails of course is the old rustic themed decorations and the series of wedding dresses and suits that one expects from a fair.
I think these cakes are sooo delicious!!! I just had this feeling though that this salon is a bit quite reserved in its taste. I mean, there’s not much over the top cakes nor dresses nor displays.
I wish this cake was cut in a nicer way though. I mean, we thought it’s a broken mannequin in the beginning. Hmmm, maybe they could do like a lace design or print on the cake and one of them is the actual cut-out portion of the cake. Also, I think this is more for debut or special birthdays. As it doesn’t seem so “wedding.” I mean, even cake toppers has to have at least a pair on top. And this is blatantly single.
There was also one funny booth that gives a discount, if it’s your second wedding. My friend, made a remark, I can’t even get one wedding, how could I get that discounted one. LOL. Overall, I think the salon is nice to visit. It’s also fun that access to it is free. Will surely visit it again next time.
