This is one of my favorite expositions i have seen in Paris so far. I am just so attracted to Alphonse Mucha’s style. It is located at Musée du Luxembourg which makes it also the perfect time to visit Jardin du Luxembourg.
I was just in Prague, a week ago and I kept seeing these illustrations in notebooks all over Prague. I keep thinking they look familiar. Then when I got back from Paris, I just found out he was a Czech designer and got popular in Paris during the Art Nouveau period.
He was also famous for his portraits of Sarah Bernhardt and on Moet Chandon displays. While these type of work gained his popularity…he has other interesting work displayed in the exhibit. I did not want to reveal so much but I’m sure you could see the work on instagram.
If you have some time to spare this week, make sure not to miss this exhibit which has not been done in Paris, since 1980s!!! It’s open until January 25, 2019.
